The first procession, scheduled for today, is the surya vattam. Things are moving on at a fast pace inside the temple. The idols are being decorated and the surya vattam is ready for the gods to be placed on it.
Sri Kapaleeswarar and Karpagambal will be placed on the vattam. They will be accompanied by Ambal, Murugan with Valli and Deivanai. This is scheduled to happen at 9.15 a.n. Chandra vattam is scheduled for today at 9 p.m.
