Don't miss the Gopuram darshanam; held every night at the temple

Here is something you shouldn't miss during this ten day festival.  

Before the vahanams are taken out of the Eastern entrance of the temple, a special pooja and deepa aradhanai are held for the deity in front of the gopuram. This is known as the Gopuram darshanam pooja, and is held everyday. 

Yesterday, being a Sunday, several hundred devotees, mostly regulars, had gathered there to witness the same.
