The Mylapore Academy, South Madras Bharath Scouts and Guides, and St. John's Ambulance Brigade always lend their hand at the service centres set up in Mylapore.
On the important festival days like Adhikara Nandi. Rishaba vahanam. ther and Arubathumoovar, they distribute freely packets of food, buttermilk and water. Donations are welcome.
